Record signing for Mill Utd

Mill United have broken the U-soccer transfer record to sign England International Kieran Richardbob for 1.08m econ.

The club's second signing of the season, which makes the New England star the most valuable player of all time in the league, smashes the previous transfer record of 901700 econ, that Wanchai Devils paid for midfielder Nikolaij Stalin on 5th April 2007.

Speaking at a news conference in London on Monday, Richardbob said the speed of the contract negotiations had impressed him.

"I'm glad I'm in a position to play for Mill United," said the 23-year-old England star.

"It is an honour for any player to play for them and I'm very happy."

"Milton (Ho) made contact with me on last Tuesday and by Sunday it (the deal) was finished. It was very quick."

United manager Milton Ho has made no secret of his desire to sign a defender and he has broken the club record in signing the English youngster.

"I am delighted to have signed him," said Ho.

"I have said for quite a while that we need a young and quality defender in this competition in order to survive. A four-stars rated defence is just not good enough, or not "special" as some may say, and hopefully Richardbob will be the special one that we've been looking for."

Richardbob is expected to go straight into the squad for tomorrow's game against man at united to make his debut and will be wearing the no.23 shirt.
